Harry Hockly Motorsport was first established
in 1985 as a Motorsport preparation company.
Hockly at the time was building cars for Vauxhall Motorsport. One of these cars was driven by Hockly who went on to take three consecutive British Open Championship category victories.
Through the growth of Harry Hockly Motorsport, General Motors Europe (GME) asked HHMS to co-ordinate and build a complete rally car kit for the Vauxhall/Opel Corsa 1.6ltr model.
With this project successfully undertaken it gave HHMS the chance to expand into Europe and beyond, running a works specification Opel Corsa for Opel Belgium and a Opel Astra in Turkey, Indonesia, Madeira and Australia.
